         switching on minutes makes live easier
          0 to 1440 minute in a day
          add 0 to 6 days and you have a week program
          unixtime and you can switch on seconds easy
          unixtime now = php echo time() = 1638567569 seconds since 1 January 1970
DOW = 5 (date('w'))       returns 0 for Sundays. THAT'S NO Good only Saturday weekend
DOW = 5 (date('w') ?: 7)       returns 1 for monday & 7 for Sundays. Yes, then we have a real weekend, :? = the Elvis operator.
day=day+1; makes sunday 0 to 1
or
if (day==0)day = 7; Easier to understand, real weekEnds ;-)

    unixtime now = php echo time() = 1638567569 seconds since 1 January 1970

    Unix time is a system for describing a point in time.
    It is the number of seconds that have elapsed since the Unix epoch, minus leap seconds
    the Unix epoch is 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970
